That's calcium/calcium. A silver/calcium would be required to meet all the Ford specs, but that should be adequate.

It's unlikely to overheat from charging as a non-calcium battery would.

Yuasa's Calcium/Calcium is fine. Even their "Silver" batteries are Ca/Ca. I fitted one in my Mondeo last year to replace the Ford/Varta battery.

No idea if Jon's 2002 Mondeo has smart charging though.

To save starting a new thread...if anyone else needs a battery right now, Tayna's ebay shop are offering 10% off with the DECSALE code.  Makes my AGM battery just £86.40 with next day delivery.

That link doesn't work for me at all, just an empty shop 🤷‍♂️

Hmm, odd.  Works fine on desktop, will check mobile later.

Works for me on desktop and mobile. Maybe needs turning off and on again.

Tried that, tried the mobile app and the desktop site too. On the desktop site is said my delivery address was the problem - Scottish Highlands, so I changed it to my parents address in Preston but still nothing. Very odd, will try on the surface pro later 👍

Ah, you may be on to something there.  Only 4 batteries available for an Inverness postcode.  I'm getting a large range for a Preston post code though.
