Battery problem.

Hi,I tried to change the 12v battery on my ford ecosport today.I removed the plastic cover but that was as far as i got.Do i remove the ecu?

    Hello Colin,

    no reason to take your car to bits.

    You need to get a 'Smart' battery charger if you don't already have one.

    Charge the battery on the car without disconnecting it. Follow these instructions carefully: Connect the positive lead of the charger to to the positive terminal of the battery. Then connect the negative lead of the charger to the main earth point on the body/chassis. Do not connect the negative charger lead to the battery.

    Leave on charge for at least 12 hours, longer if possible. With a smart charger, you can not over charge the battery.
