Hi im looking at a 2012 zetec s with monochrome blue and black display.

 

Is there anyway to upgrade to the bigger 5inch display and is it easy?

 

Ive heard the cluster is easier to upgrade to the tft unit

    The picture shows a High Level (6-Speaker) audio system with the 3.5 Inch monochrome FCDIM (display).

    The 3.5 monochrome FCDIM can easily be converted to the 4.2 Inch full color FCDIM or the 5 Inch SatNav FCDIM.


    The conversion from a 3.5 monochrome FCDIM to a 4.2 Inch full color FCDIM requires the following parts:

    * 4.2 Inch full color FCDIM. 
    * Fascia for a 4.2 Inch full color FCDIM.


    The conversion from a 3.5 monochrome FCDIM to a 5 Inch full color SatNav FCDIM requires the following parts:

    * 5 Inch full color SatNav FCDIM. 
    * Fascia for a 5 Inch full color FCDIM.

    On top of the FCDIM and fascia you need the following parts if you want to get the SatNav working:

    * FCIM (radio control panel) with SatNav buttons (optional since the SatNav functions can also be selected from within the radio menu).
    * Voice guidance audio wiring (2 wires) between FCDIM and ACM (only required if not already present).
    * SD-card with maps for the MFD system.
    * GPS antenna.
