Good Morning, I have just bought a 2013 Zetec S Focus.

The car doesn't have autolights which I'm used to from my previous Volvo. Can I change the light switch unit for one with Auto lights and magically have auto lights on my car?

Many thanks

I am sure it's just a matter or changing the switch as the sensors are available already. Somebody else may know better though.

Does it already have automatic wipers? The auto lights use the same sensor as the auto wipers (although I have, somewhere lurking in the back of my mind, an idea that there might be two different versions of the sensor). If it does have automatic wipers it might be a case of fitting the auto light switch and reprogramming the BCM to let the car know that the switch has been changed.

If you don't have automatic wipers then you are likely to need a rain sensor, possibly a new windscreen with a clear part for the rain sensor to look through, wiring loom from the sensor to the BCM plus reprogramming the BCM.
