1.5 eco boost timing

Featured Replies

I have a 2016 1.5 petrol eco boost which has recently has the timing belt and water replaced, it’s all back together and running great but it feels like there is no power when accelerating, I have rechecked the timing and after an issue with the crankshaft pulley sensor all the tools line up and can be easily inserted. The problem is still there and I was wondering if these engines like the early zetecs have floating pulleys that need to be locked at the transmission end, if so what sort of job is it to do and are the story’s correct about having to replace the fuel injectors, seals and bolts correct. I can already see that they can only be accessed by removing the valve cover (plastic and metal parts) but i was just looking for a definite answer before I start tearing into it again.

Thanks
