2008 Mondeo brake lights

Featured Replies

My mate has a 2008 Mondeo and the rear brake lights dont work, only the top one, any ideas please

Disconnect it and put circuit tester on the lamp and voltmeter on supply cable to start to diagnose it. It does not have to work for mot. Mot manual says it can’t fail mot on that light if it’s been disconnected. Also says if not sure if disconnected then the owner should be given the benefit of the doubt.   Of course for safety reasons it might be best to have it working

actually reading again, are you saying only top one works or only top one doesn’t. Have you checked the bulbs?

What do you mean by top? Do you mean only the centre brake light works?
