Weird erratic idling, bad acceleration, engine stalling - duratec 2.0 engine 2006 focus

Featured Replies

Hello,

I have some issues with my car, due to bad service i ended up replacing the engine with another duratec one, the problem is that now the car has weird erratic idling, bad acceleration, engine stalling when i put it in neutral after accelerating.

I've attached some videos, hopefully someone has an idea.

I've changed the following:

- Throttle Body.

- Fuel Pump.

- air intake control valve for the intake manifold.

- O2 sensors pre-after cat.

- New timing chain + accessories.

- New spark plugs / coils.

- New Oil sensor.

- New overpressure valve - fuel tank.

- New filters.

- Piston compression is perfect.

I am really lost and have no clue what else to check/replace.

I have no errors on my simple OBD2 torque app, everything is perfect.

Cold start: engine starts - dies (2x), 3rd time it starts and stays on.

After driving when temp is normal: car tends to die when it's not in gear.

- When in first gear it has a very slow acceleration - i need to keep the clutch pressed so i can move otherwise the car will die.

Have you checked the pcv valve? I would get a one of These and use with ForScan to track down the problem.

Yes, that was replaced together with the PCV hose. Brand new.

Before changing the overpressure valve and air intake valves i had code 1549 - together with some other fake errors like - defective ECU. But i doubt that was real.. considering that the errors/sensors are being seen properly.
