2008 Mk2 Head Unit Bluetooth

Featured Replies

Is there a way to upgrade the Ford 6000 head unit to get Bluetooth as I understand it is an optional extra and as far as I can tell this is not an option on my car or is there a better multi media head unit anyone could advise to install in its place?

The Ford 6000 was an excellent unit in it's day but that was over ten years ago now.

The Bluetooh module was a separate unit that was connected to the 6000 to provide connectivity for mobile phones of that era. It never did provide music streaming over bluetooth and these days many current mobile phones no longer work correctly with the old system.

Your best option is to buy a Chinese made Android unit (look on eBay and Amazon) cost is about £300. It will replace your old 6000 and provide many extras (including satnav)
