Fiesta MK8 Vignale, Eco driving TFT Disply

Featured Replies

Good afternoon all. I'm Mark and a new member.

I'm looking forward to reading everybody's discussions & help.

I have a quick post if any member have experienced this issue with the MK8 Fiesta, 2020 model.

The digital speedo on the TFT display with the blue eco driving circle, has anybody actually driven with it constantly blue without what appears to be the engine labouring? If you change up when the shift up appears it shows as eco driving but what the hell is that poor engine doing, it sounds like it's labouring and needs shifting down a cog. Is it me or does anyone else notice this 🤔

Ignore the shift up icon like everyone else. Ohhh and welcome 👍

Welcome to the club.

Many topics on the site about ecoboost and gear selections. Like you say if you follow the gear changes suggested on the TFT the engine does labour.

I tend to change gear at the 2000RPM range and this gives me 30 mph in 3rd, 40mph in 4th and 50mph in 5th. Roads round hear seldom let me go above 50mph. On motorways 60mph and above in 6th.

Other members will have different ideas but my little ecoboost is perfectly happy with the above figures and fuel consumption pretty good.

Yes, I'm with David and John on this.

Thanks all for the great replies, I thought it was a case of ignore the shift indicator. I did try as per the indicator but the engine labouring was excessive. I| thought it was best to ask just to see other members views & it was as I expected.

Thank you all.😀
