BP radio ad - are my speakers faulty, or 'ad' wrong?

Featured Replies

There is a current BP radio advert where one of the effects is that they come from the 'right' speaker, then announce they are coming from the 'left' speaker. However, on my car, the speakers appear to be wired up to the opposite! I was just curious if anyone else has heard the ad, and are your speakers, 'correct'?

I haven’t heard it but if you adjust the Balance control on the radio does it seem that left and right are correct?

Nope, I did try that, my speakers are definitely opposite on the 'ad', I must try it on standard listening which I haven't done LOL . I'm sure it makes no real difference at all, just strange that it's the original Ford installation with no mods whatsoever done on it...

EDIT

Just tried it, balance, left & right is perfect! Must be a faulty ad!

When the advert next comes on simply turn the car around and all will be ok 😉 said the Scottish and English men 😲😄

Show some pity for our Australian cousins if BP use the ad down-under. They'll have to turn the car upside down  🤣

If you still have the factory radio fitted try running a speaker test by holding buttons 3 & 5 on the radio when it's switched on.

Buttons....BUTTONS .......have you not learnt anything on here ?

Some folk don't like BUTTONS....😄

It's all part of a government ploy to make you think your car has a faulty sound system, so you go out and buy a new electric car.
