Check Adaptive Headlights?!?

Featured Replies

Hi all - Happy New Year!

I have a 2019 Ford Focus Vignale and recently started getting the message “Check Adaptive Headlamps” and no longer have the ability to flash and go full-beam. I’ve plugged in a diagnostic machine but getting no fault codes for the headlights. Has anyone encountered this before - what was the fix?

Any guidance or direction would be much appreciated.

Thanks guys!

Generic code readers very rarely pick up on Ford specific DTC's.

You need to use a laptop with the software FORScan and a good ELM327 modified lead in order to get the codes.

FORScan can be downloaded for free from here: https://forscan.org/download.html

Example of ELM327 modified lead: https://tunnelrat-electronics.fwscart.com/USB_Modified_with_switch_ELM327/p4541936_17045457.aspx
