Any idea about 'hidden' features?

Featured Replies

Hi, some time ago I read about 'hidden' features in cars. For example, it seems that all Tesla's are the same, but if you want extra features, you have to pay to 'unlock' these features. A standard Tesla with a range of 400 Km is the same as the one with a range of 600 km. And some models Volkswagen all have Distance Control, but you have to pay to unlock it. The idea is that to standardise is cheaper. My parents bought a second-hand Auris, and the dealer told me that the car is standard equipped with sat-nav, but because the first owner did not pay for it, my parents must pay to unlock the sat-nav function.

Anyone idea if there are such 'hidden' features in a S-max?

Short answer is no, you can't just turn on features using software. You have to physically fit the hardware for it to work.
