08 Smax passenger door problem

Hi all.

I'm having a problem with my passenger door on my 08 SMax.

The door sounds to be locking and unlocking ok and doesn't seem to have a problem with the latch, but when pulling the handle there seems to be no resistance and it just doesn't open the door. It will open from the inside though ok.

I've tried searching for help but can't find anything specifically for this issue. I'm a v basic diy-er when it comes to cars so hoping this may be an easy fix - or someone can give me a steer on what it may need for a garage.
