The cd6000 radio in the 09 focus ive not long got is stuck on a countdown, any ideas anyone?

    The user manual says that if the radio code is entered wrong too many times, there is a countdown before it can be re-entered. This time increases each time the incorrect code is entered.

    There are a few websites that can generate the code for free if you have the radio serial number. As far as I remember, the site tells you how to find the serial number.

    I tried it with mine although I do have the code already. The site returned the same code as the one I have with the paperwork.

    The piece of paper I got with the car said "security code" which I didn't know if it was the radio or key code. Ford told me that they could give me the code at a cost of £35 which I declined.
