Ford S-max Wipers

Featured Replies

My front screen wipers have started switching on automatically.

Had new battery fitted yesterday, but then drove 20miles+ with no problem

This AM started off OK but as soon as I reached 25mph, wipers came on fast. Every time I slow >20mph wipers stop.

Not engine speed dependant as when I redline it in first - no wipers.

When stationary, wipers work OK

Any suggestions welcome

Most likely a fault with the BCM.

I think you are the third person with this problem in just the last 10 days.

I would start with the easy option first. Disconnect the negative terminal from your new battery and leave it off for 20 minutes and then reconnect. It will cause the modules to reset and possibly clear the fault.

Disconnecting the battery certainly seemed to work :yahoo:

I've only driven about 4 miles today, but it behaved perfectly.

Thanks
