Morning our stereo has finally stopped working, it was a FORD SAT NAV LS RNS 2008-2010. It started not turning on, remove fuse or battery and would work again after putting in the code.

This has gone on for a year, might happen twice in a week or once in a month. Then the battery mysteriously went flat. After reading similar comments there could be a draining current problem even when not working. So short term if i pulled the fuse would this stop the draining from the battery and secondly are there any fixes for this or is it a purchase an aftermarket one. If the later is there a go too one that still keeps the display from convers+ between the clocks and all the cars other features will still work? TIA

That depends if its the stereo causing the battery to drain. You may be putting 2+2 together and getting 6. I'd check with a multimeter first.

Like most people I doubt you're going to get into component level PCB repair, so it's either find a used on on ebay or go aftermarket.
