Thought I'll introduce myself 🙂

I have recently brought this Mk1 Preface 2.2 TDCI Smax Titanium Individual with 83k on the clock with 2 previous keepers and full ford service history. My first ever Ford. I absolutely love the car, it is a stunning mpv for its time and very well equipped. Only thing i complain about is the lack of auto high beam and auto lock after driving off. It is my work horse and currently main family car until the used car prices go back down then upgrade my mrs car to become the main family car.

Before this Smax, I had a 2019 Mazda 6 Tourer SE-L Lux Nav+ 2.0 Skyactiv-G (2Yr), 2012 Vauxhall Insignia SRI Nav 1.6T (6Yr), 2007 Vauxhall Vectra C SRI 1.9CDTI 150 (6Yr), and other dinky cars in my younger days lol.

    actually the forums are very busy with hundreds of posts every day, just not that many for S-Max.

    If you read the "Latest posts" rather than the just the S-Max forum there is a lot of useful stuff (and a lot of not useful stuff) posted every hour.

    I am rather a marquee specific, the smaxownersclub forum is no longer active hence im on here for smax advice and guidance. You have answer the question pal correctly.

    I believe Auto High Beam was an option on the facelift (it was for my mondeo), not sure on the MK1's

    Auto lock can probably be enabled with a laptop, modified elm327 lead and Forscan or ELMConfig.
