2014 1.5 mk7.5 engine stutters in 4th and 5th

Featured Replies

My fez has started to stutter in 4th and 5th gear. It feels like loss of power, injector down or similar. No codes from diagnostics. Only started after gearbox change. I used a 2014 start stop gearbox although my car doesn't have it. So nothing to plug into the bottom electrical socket. Gearbox is smooth. Could I have knocked something off, trapped something, or forgotten to attach something during fitting?

Any help would be great as it's driving me round the bend!

depending on the engine you have, i know that the 1.0eco boosts' gearbox have a taller ratio in 4th and 5th than the 1.25l petrol for instance, worth checking the drive ratios

Mine is a 1.5. The gearbox came out of a 1.0 I believe.
