Transit Custom 2014 Facelift Conversion Possibility

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

Firstly it's great to be back on the Ford Owners Club (after my Fiesta died years ago). 🙂

I'm playing with the idea of possibly buying a Ford Transit Custom (SWB) in the future. It'll be around ~2014 as a result of my budget and I was wondering if it's possible to convert the exterior styling to a 2018+ facelift version? I did something similar with my Fiesta years ago, I converted the exterior to a ST (replacing slam panel, cross-member/crash-bar with ST parts before being able to fit an ST bumper on).

To convert the Transit Custom frond-end, I believe I'll need:

  • Facelift Bumper (+ Grills, fog surrounds)
  • Slam panel
  • Bonnet
  • Headlamps
  • Wings/Fenders

Is there anything else I could possibly need and would they all fit directly on? The rear-end seems more straight-forward to facelift. Similar to my Fiesta I modded years ago, I do have access to bodyshops to do alterations to any parts but I was wondering at this stage if it's possible and what parts I would need.

Thank you everyone! 😊

The only things I'm aware of, Is companies like MS-RT have body kits that fit your custom. While there is another company that has the word "FORD" that can be attached tot he front of the van raptor style.

Other than the front custom bumper being a two part affair, it looks like it is almost identical in design to your Fiesta. The parts you need would be exactly the same as on that car.

Have you figured out about doing this because i'd like to do the same to my 2015 custom

did you manage to do the conversion, i have a 2016 i wana facelift to 18+, wings, bonnet, lights, bumper. if so will the headlight wiring be diferent? i did a facelift on a 09 fiesta a while back would be similiar i imagine.

cheers luke

Hi, if you use Facebook, try joining the 'Ford Transit Custom Owners Group - COG', quite a few people on there have done the conversion.
