Touch screen computer not working - Mk 8 1L Eco Boost Fiesta

Featured Replies

Hi all

So my fiesta broke down on me a few weeks ago, which I believe is sorted now. I originally got advised to bring it to a ford dealership. They did a diag on the vehicle, and then the dealer wanted to collect the vehicle to fix it.

Since I have had it back the computer has not worked correctly. It freezes, lags, disconnects, crashes completely and jumps to random AM radio signals that just give me loud static.

I have tried many different things from, master reset, hard reset, manually updating and disconnecting the negative and both negative and positive from the battery (both for over an hour as I was also doing other things).

None of this seems to do anything, the only thing I have noticed is that I think its phone connection related. The system seems to run fine when I don't try connect a phone to it. I have tested it with a couple of phones, and it does have the issues with other phones too.

If anyone has any advice on this at all, it would be greatly appreciated because I am at a loss

Bring it back to the dealership, especially as the problem exists since their service.

Taking into account the above mentioned it should be done under "warranty".
