Fiesta Titanium 2010 dash instruments light up and car loses power

Featured Replies

Hi about a month ago now I had a problem with my fiesta titanium 2010 plate, all of a sudden all of the little lights on the dash instrument lit up and the car lost power completely. I turned off and on again and it ran as normal before doing the same again, quite often when my revs were going down as I came to a crossing or roundabout etc

I got my mate to have a look as he owns a garage but he’s more mechanic than electrics but said it’s probably the dash so he sent to ECU to get it repaired. Came back but he couldn’t get the ECU to work with the dash. Called my roadside to get me over to Ford, however the manchetts guy got the car working by turning it on and off and locking/unlocking till the immobiliser let the car start up again.
Took to Ford and guess what they couldn’t find an issue. Took it back and drove nearly all the way home and it went again same problem as before the dash was sent off.
This time Ford saw the error codes and said the dash needed repair, have sent it off again as it was under warranty however they cannot find a fault, they have said they done a rebuild anyway.
I’m taking it to Ford to get it fitted into the car and tested but has anyone experienced this and have any idea what it can be so I can relay to Ford?
