Ford fiesta mk7 issues

Featured Replies

Hi all we have a 09 mk7 1.4 tdci fiesta and when we start it up it doesn't sound like all cylinders are firing only 3 are firing when we take plug of injector 1 and plug it back in nothing happens i.e no change in engine also there is white smoke coming out of the exhaust and smokes more as you rev it does it mean injector has gone or is it more serious like piston

Nevermind

If it was piston I would expect some adverse sound. Might be a wiring problem to injector. You could try swapping two injectors around and see it problem moves to the other cylinder. But it’s not as quick as eg swapping two spark plugs around

Use FORScan and then you shouldn't need to guess whats wrong.

It could be anyone of a number of things.
