Hi i am new to the ford world and have a mk6 fiesta is there a guide or anything anywhere on gearboxs? ive been round in circles googling and searching and coming up blank.

I am looking to find out what type of gearbox is fitted to a mk6 1.4 fiesta and what else they were fitted into i will be doing some racing in a budget class so need to find out what ratios were fitted across the range of gearbox I have if possible

    Not much information about gearbox ratios about, all I know is that the 1.4 Ghia boxes are slightly longer. Other than that they need to be rebuilt, which I appreciate is hard with limited ratio knowledge.  I am aware of someone with a short ratio mk6 box for sale if that helps. 🙂

    From etis for my cars, gearbox is referred to as a IB5
