Shark fin antenna

Hi,

 Does anyone know of a direct replacement shark fin or just short antenna for the Transit Custom? Ford in their infinite wisdom put a twig antenna on the roof of what most owners put a roof rack on (prats). As a consequence, mine has been snapped off. Its not worth putting the original type back on as it will not last long when constantly loading ladders & other work stuff.

 So, any links to a decent & practical antenna would be appreciated.

    You can buy stubby aerials and I have one on mine. Only 5cm long, the reception is superb, can't fault it. Come on ebay and usually have several different thread adapters on. On my camper they just took the base off and attached the aerial directly to the thread and left it insid the headlining. Works perfectly like that too. DAB Aerial is inside the headlining as well. Again, no reception problems at all.
