None start when hot

Featured Replies

Hello. Got a real strange problem with my smax and hope someone out there may help me. It's a 1.8tdci that I've had 6 trouble free years with until now. Recently when starting from cold it fires straight up and drives fine. No power loss or stuttering. Once fully warmed up, when I turn it off it will no longer start. It fires up and stalls immediately. Several times this has happened now but will eventually start when cool again.

It's had new fuel filter 1 year ago  battery, starter motor, glow plugs  and regularly serviced.

Had Rac out who got it going by uncliping the cam shaft sensor then plugging it back in. Replaced cam sensor but still the problem exists.

As said once running everything is absolutely spot on. I've read all other forums and no one seems to have had the same problem or similar. Usually if it's fuel pressure related it cause hard starting hot or cold and once running their symptoms are loss of power or poor fuel economy. I'm experiencing non of those. Any ideas would be grateful.

Thanks
