Do I have an air bag switch?

Featured Replies

Hi guys. I've tried a search, but no luck. I have a 57 plate s-max titanium 1.8tdci. I cant find a switch to turn off my front passenger air bag anywhere. Should I have one, if so where is it likely to be located? I've checked glove box, all around the whole dash etc

I've attached a file thats on the left side of the glove box, which is where I expected to find the switch, but its just a sticker

It was an option to have an override switch fitted on your model.

Depending on the exact age/specification if the option of the switch was fitted it was located on the side of that dashboard where the 'baby' sticker is in your photo OR on some models inside the glovebox near the top edge there is a keyswitch. Most people didn't bother with the option at the time so not many vehicles of that year have them.

If you have one, its location will definitely be in the manual.
