ford fiesta 2010 servo motors for climate 5min delay synchronization

Featured Replies

hello all, so i had problem climate(digital) only blowing cold air, i found out on passanger foot side theres motor-servo and lever arm that controls cold-hot air when i removed motor i saw that lever arm just went out from white plastic and its not broken. i readjusted arm and i tested hot-cold air and it was working great, lever arm is doing its job and all good, but problem comes after i turn off car or set ingition to off position correct 5mins when pass all those servo motors on climate start to sync. the motor that i readjust just start turning where it should not go and leler arm comes off plastic since it should not go in that position.. i try to remove batter and many many more things and i still didnt find way to reset that motor, no mather what i do the servo will go in wrong direction after 5mins... so please is there anyone who know what might be problem or how to reset this servo, or maybe theres electrical problem on car pc? THANKS

There might be a Service Function in FORScan to Calibrate the Actuators, there is in some cars but I don't know about your car and it may or may not solve the problem.

You don't need an Extended Licence to do Service Functions, the standard Laptop or Phone version is all you need along with a suitable adaptor.

I don't know if you can do Service Procedures with Torque.

If you have a Windows Laptop then download  FORScan, https://forscan.org/download.html it's free and have a look.

Your Adaptor should work with the Windows version if it can read MS and HS Can but it will probably be slow if it is a wireless one and FORScan will give you a warning that your Adaptor is not recommended.

I'm not certain why it will not connect properly but I know that FORScan is very fussy about Adaptors and ones that work with every other App do not necessarily work with FORScan and the few that they recommend are quite expensive.

I'm still not sure if the Service Procedure that might help is supported for your model and year of car. Hopefully someone reading this with the same car and Digital Climate Control and FORScan will be able to tell you if the procedure is supported or not for your modal and year.

If it is then it would be a good idea to invest in a supported Adaptor to see if it solves the problem, if not then it may be a waste of money unless you intend doing a lot of diagnostics on Ford cars. See copy and pasted note below from FORScan.
