Retrofit central console with armrest

Featured Replies

Hey guys, I was wondering if it is possible to retrofit central console with armrest to my Fiesta 2009. They are very hard to find here in Serbia and I managed to find one that I think is from a mk8 not a mk7.5, however it looks like it should be able to fit just fine, just like from a mk7.5 model. My main concern is if there will be any problems with the wires since there is no aux&usb combo plate below the shifter, usb plugs are located in the armrest and also I don't really care about the led lights in the cup holders I know I can just tap into the ambient light below the glove box. But I know that there are like 4 or 5 connectors(counting both left and right side) so if it fits without cutting anything just bolt to bolt will there be a problem if any of the wires remain unconnected. The one in the pictures is the only one I found in the country.

Thanks in advance !

I think you could well be one of the first to attempt this.

If you are lucky many of the fixings may be the same, but my main concern would be where the Mk8 centre console meets a Mk7 dashboard I’d be very surprised if the two lined up and looked acceptable.

But the one from mk7.5 should slide just in right, I think it should be this one??img_1_1648716518737.thumb.jpg.2e1ecb36e558a574625554c0109a7e84.jpg

A Mk7.5 armrest will go into a Mk7 fez without issues, I have done this myself.

What about the connectors, they are all the same? Apart from the led light connector, bc mk7 doesn't have it.

Thanks for the reply.

Connectors are identical, I wired my LED's into the sidelight illumination it works a treat.
