Radio Prob, Dash Trick Prob

Featured Replies

Hey all,

So last time i posted here i wanted to change my radio for a fancy new one with all sort of extras, i also (before installing it) could get to the secret dashboard menu. Only a few months after ive changed my radio ive realized that it was because i changed my radio i can no longer access the secret menu, instead when i try to access the menu all of the settings on my radio get wiped, radio stations are reset and sound option etc...

The radio is installed fine (to my knowledge) and works a treat, just wondering if anyone else has noticed this before and if there is a way around it?

mines aftermarket as well and been in 7 months and this doesnt and hasnt happened to me you must have wires the wrong way somewhere as it shouldnt even be linked to the dash the only wire that does that is the illumination wire that allows the cd player light to be adjusted with the dash lights no idea why the secret menu is wiping the radio but it needs fixed or will lead to other issues

Yeah I've had an after-market stereo installed in my Focus since the day I bought it and I can still use the "secret" dash mode just fine, I'd check your installation.
