just wondering if anyone can help my car has just come out of body repairs place and under the bonnet i swear there was a rubber strip there this strip is connected to the bonnet where the release catch is which is now not there lol can anyone advise if there is or has a pic this is on a focus 2006

Yes there is normally a small black rubber strip between the bonnent and the car. Well there is on mine (08) and my mates (55) any way.

did the mk1 have this seal on it cant say ive seen one with it but looks like theres holes there to fit one

looking at it it would be pointless as the gap on the front lets the air to the intake at the front the rubber seal would just block this but the 2.0 has a different setup so the seal would work for that as the intake sits under the front upper grill and not on top of it

it exactly the same setup on a 2.0 as on a 1.8, anyway yes a 2006 focus should have a rubber strip just under the front of the bonnet.

i was referring to the us 2 litre svt intake which is a popular mod instead of the intake sitting above the slam panel it actually goes underneath the slam panel up against the upper grill

cheers for replys i popped into ford see if they would know as they have a list of parts for your reg it never come up with my car having one but i swear it did oh well never mind im not to fussed its just i had few issues on where my car got fixed having to go back 3 times to get sorted and on inspection i noticed this part missing but i couldnt be 100% sure so never mentioned to them in the end
