Locks keeping the whole street awake

Featured Replies

Hi all

I have a 2008 fiesta and it has all of a sudden making a terrible racket randomly.

It sounds like the car is locking and unlocking itself, no matter if it is locked or not already. Taken it to local garages and no one can seem to help!  Seems to temporarily stop if using the key fob to lock or unlock

Pretty sure our neighbours are about to mob us if it keeps them awake much longer.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

A short term fix(bodge) may be to remove the central locking fuse, Which I think is Fuse 24, but the decal on the back of the glove box will confirm. Then you will need to lock and unlock the car manually.

This is all controlled by the General electronics module.

Have you had any "Door Open" Alarms, as if a front door shut indication is missing, then you cannot lock the car at all.
