Hi all

S max 2011 1.6 petrol titanium. Anyone came across these sort of faults? Car drives fine no limp mode no issues etc. only engine malfunction error on dash. (Don’t believe license lamp would trigger warning message) 
 

Also warning message disappeared once while driving, but come back next day while driving. 
 

any help would appreciate it.

    You won't get very far using that generic diagnostic unit as it won't see many of the Ford specific DTC's.

    Get a laptop and download FORScan (it's free) and use a good ELM327 lead (buy from Tunnelrat Electronics) or better still get the new vLinker FS cable.

    Then will be able to read all the DTC's and it will give you diagnostic information with the code.
