EOBD SOCKET

Featured Replies

Total newbie,

What is an EOBD socket and where can I find it in my 2017 Fiesta ECO BOOS

On the right of your dash there is a drop down storage box.   It's behind that.

Obd onboard diagnostics.  E might mean enhanced or something. You could also call it a fault code socket.  Plug a code reader in there and can read fault codes plus more - like reprogramming some features. Car thieves can also use it to help them steal cars. It allows access to the car’s in built computer system.

EOBD is the European equivalent of the American OBD-II standard. The two are essentially the same, but the European standard was implemented much later, and applies to petrol cars sold in Europe from 2001, diesels from 2004.
