Another Sync 3 question Re: Apps

Featured Replies

Good morning all.

I have another query if anybody can help.

I'm having trouble with my Sync 3 and the Apps. My phone is fully connected via Bluetooth but I am unable to project Apps onto the sync 3 screen, Apps like Glympse ETC.

I have gone through all the settings and permission in the App and failed. Even when connected via USB. I have checked in the Ford Pass APP and my 2020 model is compatible with all the Apps. I have followed the steps even having the apps running on my phone but when I click on the find apps it returns a message "NO Apps Found".

As any other member had this issue?

I am considering doing a factory reset of the Sync 3 system if I do a factory reset will I have to go through all the Sync 3 software updates again & map updates?

Any advise would be much appreciated

The only apps that work on Carplay appear when you connect the USB lead.

Bluetooth apps don't work

Ensure you are using a very good quality lead

Just to expand on that Bluetooth connections don't have the bandwidth required by Android Auto Wireless and even if did it would drain your phone battery so you'd need to plug it in anyway.

No, just user settings and phone connection

Thanks Dave, I'm on an Android device, Samsung S22 Ultra. I've tried via BT and no luck and tried Via USB using genuine Samsung cable & no luck. Android Auto is working fine including all the Android Auto Apps, it's just the ones that are in the Sync 3 App catalogue.
