Mk6 - Rough Cold Start

My 1.4 Petrol Mk6 with 115k has a rough cold start.

Car will start, and then cut out immediately. It’ll take a couple of gos, and some gas pedal to make it run. Once it’s started and run it’s fine, and will start first time on the key turn.

I read that it can be the coolant temp sensor. I’ve changed that, but it’s still got the issue. 

The ambient temp sensor is either missing or busted as it displays - - or 70 degrees briefly. Pretty sure it isn’t that hot. Does the ambient sensor have any impact on fuelling/air on cold start?

Any other ideas what it could be? Cheers.
