Hi sorry upfront for Being clueless. I'm trying to CRC spray clean the throttle body and air intake on the above car. Despite repeated searched both online and in reality I can't locate epithet. Help please! Cheers all.

A Diesel engine do not have a Throttle Body, it might have a Throttle Valve which is a different thing and generally will not affect the running of the engine normally unlike a Petrol Engine Throttle Body.

I've never heard of CRC Spray, but I would be careful about what you spray on any of the Engine components or Air Intake, it may cause damage.

Diesels do not have a throttle valve at all, engine speed is only controlled by fuel injection, air is not restricted.  He could have found either the Mass Air-flow meter (MAF), normally next to the air-filiter which you have to be very careful with, or the Exhaust Gas Re-circ (EGR) valve. I don't know about Fords, but some diesels do suffer when the EGR is blocked with soot.

Don't go looking for Spark Plugs, Compression ignition engines (diesels) have never had them either.

Yes most of them do. If it is there it is used kill the Engine at switch off, sometimes it part closes to control the amount of EGR flow eg when changing gear and sometimes when DPF Regeneration is occurring and some Engines have two, to balance the amount of Charge Air going through the Intercooler.

If you read what I wrote I never said it was there to control Fuel Injection.
