i fitted a new android auto stereo to my fiesta and it changed my odometer to KM and it was in miles. Is this a fault with the canbus?

 

The Owners Handbook describes how to change the Odometer between Miles and Kilometers.  Accessed via the Trip Computer to scroll through the various information displays.  Hope this helps.

I am having the same issue aswell and I have clicked the trip button and it won’t change from km to miles

Yes I have, I have I read the handbook and did everything it said before seeking help on forum, I clicked the trip and toggled through options and miles doesn’t come up at all. I have even long pressed the trip but it just reset trip information but did not change from km to m

Did it use to read in miles and now suddenly changed, or have you just got the car and it's always read in just Km?

It use to read in miles, until I recently installed an android stereo, just like the original poster and now it only reads in km

What was the model type of original Ford radio that you replaced ?

Does the the new android unit have the option of different languages ?

There was a series of Ford original radios/satnav units that used to change the km/miles depending of whether the language in use was 'English (metric)' or 'English (imperial)'

My daughters 2010 Kuga (and my 2013 Transit had) has this quirky Ford satnav unit and each time after the battery has been disconnected for any length of time the car always defaults to km. To change it back you have to use the radio and select English (imperial).

I installed a Aftermarket android auto/ CarPlay unit and the settings on there I already changed to imperial

It was just a standard Ford fiesta edge 2012 stereo that came with the car 

Use a laptop and download FORScan. You can change the settings of the odometer using that.

I ended up going to a garage that specialises with Ford vehicles and they put their computer in and it, they said from the computer the car shows it is in miles, however it won’t change for some reason on the odometer in the car dash

they advised me to remove the stereo however I don’t want to, wondering if anyone else has a solution before I have to remove it ?

Either change with Forscan as advised.... or just leave it in km.

If you goto 'Car Info' icon on Android screen, under General setting you can set KM or Miles, this then changes Odometer on dash.

i try. but when i press confirm(from km into mile) it just stays at km and nothing changed

Namontoval jsem do Fiesty nové autorádio s Androidem a po jeho nainstalování se ukazatel kilometrů zobrazil v mílích. Je to chyba sběrnice CAN?

 

Nainstaloval jsem si Aftermarket Android Auto/CarPlay jednotku a nastavení jsem tam už změnil na imperiální. 

press this icon

then find KM and change to MILE
