Hi all. 

 

Sorry if this has been discussed or if I am in the wrong place. 

I have a 2009 for s max titanium 2.0tdci

I have a couple of issues. Wondered if anyone knew some info. 

 

1st - I had a navigation headunit that stopped working I believe it is a common issue - I switched to the dab headunit, has a black and white fakra looking connection on the back - I don't believe I have dab aerial but is there a way I can get normal radio stations with the connections already in the car which I believe to be white and green fakra -they don't fit in the holes on the back of my headunit at the moment?

 

2nd - the door mirrors on the s max- I have the power folding, I want to change the puddle light and indicators can I pop them off without taking the glass out? - I always end up cracking the glass with my heavy hands.

    Can’t help on no.1, but for the door mirrors tip them so they are facing the grown, at that point you should be able to see two tabs. Release these and the mirror cover should come off, at this point you have access to the lights.

    Quick enough job and you leave the glass mirror in place - there are tutorials on YouTube, you may need to look for mondeo or galaxy though, but all the same

    Consider an ariel splitter, they come with differing FAKRA connectors depending on which you buy. Or maybe theres an adaptor available.
