Holts carb cleaner from euro car parts

Cheeky query as it’s not about my fiesta.  I’m cleaning carbs on one of my Japanese motorbikes which has stood for many years. Can anyone recommend the carb cleaner in the title?  Or from experience know it’s not as good as another make?  The carbs 4 of them are coated in a sort of varnish inside which seems to happen when modern petrol evaporates over time.  Also some of the black rubber seals in the carbs have decomposed and leave what is like black glue. Any recommendations welcome.   Also does the stuff need scrubbing with a tooth brush etc or will it just dissolve everything so I can spray on and then blow it off with compressed air line?
