2015 Fiesta Powered Mirror Relay or fuse

Featured Replies

The auto fold mirrors on my fiesta have stopped working when I lock the car. Have set it in the control screen and tried resetting the mirrors, but still not working. The left hand mirror will fold if I select the auto fold button on the drivers door. This leads me to believe that either the motor has failed on the left or they’re on 2 separate circuits and the relay/fuse has failed.

I’ve tried looking through the manual for the car but can’t find a relay or fuse that relates to the auto fold system. The picture of the fuse box doesn’t match my fuse box with changes in relay position.

Does anyone know what fuse/relays are involved and part numbers if possible?

cheers.

Not as simple as you might think.

The door mirrors are controlled by the Door Control Modules and there is one for each front door (PDM and DDM). It will get very expensive very quickly if you try to guess the problem.

Use the software FORScan and a good ELM327 lead (or the new vLinker FS lead) to read the DTC's which will then give you the reason for the fault.

Download FORScan: https://forscan.org/download.html

TunnelRat ELM327 lead: https://tunnelrat-electronics.fwscart.com/USB_Modified_with_switch_ELM327/p4541936_17045457.aspx

vLinker Lead: https://www.bmdiag.co.uk/forscan-diagnostic-cable-for-ford-vgate-vlinker-fs

Thanks Unofix.

Think I may take it to the Ford garage to look at.

Regards.

Sorry to hijack your post but is that your fuse box and fuse tap? If so is that for a dash cam or something else?

That's fuse number 20 which is for the trailer module. I've no idea what the fuse tap is for, just have to hope the OP comes back.

If you want a supply for a dashcam then any of the following fuses should work: F2 (stop lamps), F3 (reverse light), F24 (bluetooth module) there are plenty more.

If the op fitted a tow bar like I have, chances are his car didn't have a tow module and so the only way to get power from that position for the relay is to tap it
