Mk 7 fiesta zetec s ecoboost 1.0 flexi pipe

Featured Replies

Hi, cars been in garage today after it making hell of a racket from the front end when accelerating. Turns out there's a hole in the flexi pipe. The garage say that the cat has to be replaced to as it's joined together. Quoted a price of nearly £400. I thought it would be a single part replacement. Has anyone else had this work done before.

Yep I found this out a month ago as well. I was being quoted 600-700 so at 400 you are doing not bad!

Anyway the solution to Ford being idiots and putting the cat and flex on a single pipe is to cut the pipe in half and just replace the flex section with the below.

Did it to mine and it's working great.

Brilliant that, thank you. I'll order one and ask the garage to fit it for me 🙂.

ghi i just had my flexi replaced, the local exhaust garage just ordered a new flanged flexi and just had to cut and slip on/ weld the pipe downstream of the cat. 150 quid
