Mk7 style front parking sensors

Featured Replies

My 2014 1.25 style was originally fitted with front parking sensors as an added extra.

Since I've had the car (2nd owner) these have always been somewhat "variable"  to the point were they are practically useless. For instance, at cold start, they (it) screech away because of close garage door.  BUT on returning from a drive, or parking up somewhere,  they are totally silent.  Turn off then on again and they screech away!

Now they are on continuously (most of the time).

Therefore I'd like to simply disconnect them.

Is there a problem / technique for getting the front arch liner out?

I cannot find any mention in the Haynes manual wiring diagrams.  Anyone have an idea of which fuse may control them?

Ironically I bought the style as I thought it would possible be more reliable having less complex electrics!

Thanks

Vince
