Black smoke

Featured Replies

i have a 2008 ford fiesta 1.6 tdci.  It  had a leeking injector on number 2  <chug>.  so i took all 4 injectors out took them to be tests <all good> refitted them back in the same order,  now  i have black smoke <sooty> when accelerating   have i missed sometime?    since then i have changed oil fuel and air filters

I can’t help and I know this isn’t a helpful comment.   If it ain’t broke…….         On my previous 1.6tdci 2007 all four injectors started leaking at different times. Each time I fixed it by doing it up a bit tighter. That worked.  I wasn’t going to do any more extra work as that’s when things go wrong and you wished you’d never interfered unneccesarily
