I have a CTek mxs 5.0 charger

Putting the quick connector on (Not Clamps) I have red + lead to positive terminal. 

Is it OK to chargers negative lead to the bolt on the battery holding clamp that stops the battery from moving about?

    Personally I'd put it on the negative lead where it grounds to the body

    Me too.  It should be after the BMS, but ideally as close as possible to it for the best accuracy.
