ABS and failed bearing

Featured Replies

Hi.
My abs light is on and I’ve been dignosing for the last month. Noticed my front bearing has gone. Can someone please confirm that if my front bearing has gone, it would store a code for a rear wheel sensor? As the only code I have is RL wheel speed sensor. All wiring is okay sensor been changed and it isn’t that. Thanks in advance.

If your not using something like FORScan to read the fault there is a good chance a generic reader may give the wrong wheel. Use FORScan and you will see exactly what’s happening with the ABS sensors.

If you disconnect the wheel sensors one at a time and then check what wheel has the fault you will soon find out if the code reader is giving the correct wheel.
