Restraints indicator warning lamp

Featured Replies

2019 fiesta active:

Been trying to figure out why I keep getting  a "Restraints indicator warning lamp" (orange airbag light on dash) alert via my Ford pass app when my wife goes out in the car and it never seems to happen to me.

I believe when she puts the key in the ignition and fires the engine up straight away whereas I normally wait a second or two for the orange airbag lights etc etc to go out before turning the engine over.

Is this causing the alerts with her impatience?

Get her to try it your way and see.

Is she maybe putting her Seatbelt on at the same time as she is starting the car or very quickly after and before the system has had time to do its self test.

With my Keyless car you just push the Start Button with the Clutch down so you don't have the opportunity to switch the Ignition on first for a few seconds unless you want to, and I have never had a warning.

Is she moving the seat???

Yeah, she's a wee shortass, I can't get in if she leaves it in her position😁
