Fiesta MK6 Crankcase breather pipe

Featured Replies

Hi all,

just after some advice, I need to replace the crankcase breathe PVC hose as it’s split. I have a new one but I can’t see an easy way around replacing it. I also can’t remove the throttle body because the previous owner has round 2 out of the 4 screws off!!!

Removing that would’ve made it much simpler as I would have more space to manoeuvre!

The pipe I have is attached.

help much appreciated. Many thanks

I use long nose pliers 👍

Hi dezwez, did you manage to apply enough force to attach it behind the manifold?

I have attached a picture to make sure I am correct, it connects ok the 1st point behind the blue square (inlet pipe) and then on the 2nd pint behind the red square. It’s the 2nd one I’m struggling with.

thanks

Hi all,

I need to order this part. Can anyone confirm the part number? When I look up the part number here it states it's an oil separator hose, which is confusing!

Thanks in advance.

That is correct.  The PCV valve should separate oil out and only allow air through to the manifold.  Though in reality they all pass a little oil.

Would need to confirm which year and engine your Fiesta is to confirm part number.  There is more than one option.

Mine is a 2004 fiesta zetec. I think this is the same model here. Is that correct?

As long as it's a 1.25, 1.4 or 1.6, yes. The 1.3 engine is different and was still available in 2004.

The Finis part number should be 1747173.

Thanks so much. It's a 1.6. this had been the only place I've been able to find this out. I really appreciate your help.

Any suggestions how I remove the pcv on this configuration of inlet manifold,

Mistake

Sorted pair of plumbers (pipe) pliers, removed a small pipe and electric connector on right side and squeezed hand in, wobble wobble and pull up pop out it comes.
