S-Max 2013 Titanium X lock/unlock sidelights/DRL's

Featured Replies

New to forum and S-Max ownership

I have recently become the owner of a 2013 S-Max Titanium X Sport and have a question if anyone can kindly help with answering.

When i first got the S-Max the rear sidelights and front DRL's would light up when unlocking and locking, but for some reason they now only work on unlocking? only thing i have done so far is flash the converse mod package (but they still worked after doing this, well i think they did) so i have parking sensors showing on the dash, I did use the key button press to change the unlocking to drivers door only but have changed it back with no result. anyone any ideas please?

I have gone through forscan to see if there is anything i can change but am reluctant to do so as i would probably screw something up...

Any help appreciated.

If it's anything like my Mondeo then it should turn on when unlocking and turn off when locking. That's how it's been for the last 9 years that I've owned my car. Can't think of any reason they would turn 'on' when locking the car. However, it is possible to program the headlights to come on though...should be some instructions for that in the handbook.

Hi David,

Thanks for your reply, yes that's what they did i.e turned on when unlocking and off after a short time when locking with fob when out of the car.

will keep looking to see if i can find what's caused the change.

Kind Regards

Nic
