What is this bit? (from a Briggs & Stratton lawnmower fuel system)

Featured Replies

My lawnmower (fitted with a 500e B&S engine) was running like a bag of nails. Left it in for repair and have just picked it up. Unfortunately the engineer was unavailable but left the part he replaced. Lawnmower runs sweetly again, but, what is it?

Your knowledge never ceases to amaze me! Wonder how it went faulty in the first place, Only get used a couple of hours/month during grass cutting season LOL

There's your problem !!

Missed service schedules, wrong specification oil, filter getting clogged with bits of the timing belt as it disintegrates, don't expect any help from Ford.

Oh sorry, just realised it's not a 1.0 Ecoboost 🤣🤣

They just get clogged up with muck.  Likely to be worse on engines that aren't used very often as they go long periods with no fuel flow.  It's not an easy part to clean as you can see, so for the sake of £5-10 they're usually just replaced.

So, what you're saying is that I'm a lazy sh*t, and should cut it more often. OK, point taken 🤣

Have just used this Briggs & Stratton fuel additive in my lawnmower, may help to stave off future issues, well, it might do, stop laughing! 😁

Stephen, what can I say ? I'm shocked at the way you frivolously spend money. Have you recently had a win on the horses or a Tax rebate ? 🤣

Forgot about the rishi handout to those who don't need it.

I'm going to cut down on my gas and elec consumption /co2  for a few weeks in sept maybe, do my bit to save the planet and use the delay compensation money (£1050) and rishi handout wisely. Would be rude not too. Just about pay for 2 weeks all inclusive for 2 adults.

*Tax cuts for rich* - Poor people moan

*Handouts for poorest* - Middle earners moan

*Handouts for pretty much everyone* - Err, ok, but is that sustainable?
