I see the wise old duffers at Westminster have decided to scrap the grant towards electric cars. 

It's not exactly encouraging motorist to dump deisel/petrol cars. I'm sure I read somewhere few months ago they want to start road tax on EV's. 

With the price of fuel nowadays I think I'd be tempted more towards a deisel car as MPG usually a lot better than petrol. 

Boris & his cronies as usual seem to all suffering from brain fog when it comes to encouraging drivers to switch to EV's.

The grants done its job, it’s helped to make EVs more common on the road, which in turn improves the charging infrastructure as business see that they can capitalise on it. 
 

Dont think they ever said the grant was going to be a permanent thing.

No, I don't think they did, either.

It may be right to give things a little push to start the momentum, but one way or another such grants are paid for by taxpayers, many of whom will never be able to afford an EV, grants or not.

Whether or not EVs are the right way to go is another question, which is actively debated in another quite lively thread!😀
